Evening bliss Yamanashi | Original Photo Print

This is easily my favorite shot of 2022. I was shooting all afternoon at lake Shoji, with a very uninteresting light, and couldn’t get any good image. It started to get dark and very cold, so I decided to walk back to my car to have a nap and maybe a glass of red wine, but for some reason I forced myself to stay a little bit longer. That is when the evening light started to kick in, and this beautiful lenticular clouds slowly began to cover the top of Mount Fuji. I was in awe of this scene, and was able to capture a very minimal and – I hope – inspiring shot of the sacred mountain.
